PPG 2017-2018 Global Color Trends / Four Themes Four Stories

PPG 2017-2018 Global Color Trends of Four Themes / Four Stories were discussed and aligned during PPG team’s annual meeting, design teams deep dive through consumer insights, analytics, economic indicators, and more to arrive at a common understanding of our future.

Once the directives are clearly identified, the team aims to summarize the entirely of the work with a single word, sentiment, or topic that accurately conveys an overarching message. This year, that word is Pendulum.

Trends are quite similar to Pendulum in that they have a force behind their beginning. Trends move at a steady speed and they eventually slow to a point at which they stop before quickly embarking into another swing. A trend pendulum never swings back to the exact point.
