Designer Ayelet Kimchi introduces Swell4D, an experimental investigation into formwork and materials using hot water and air pressure to test, inflate and 3D print Polylactic acid (PLA). After 3D printing each containers with different partitions and inner ties, the designer is using a traditional technique of glassblowing to test each structural 3D printed containers. Each configuration due to their shape and density will give a different result.
