By mixing raw finishes like brushed, bead blasted, polished and anodized titanium, Firefly bicycles creates an endless array of unique and personal designs. The anodized colors are illusions of refraction, like oil on water, created by microns-thin layers of clear oxide on the surface of the titanium. They create those layers by applying electricity to the frame through a saltwater solution. By controlling the voltage, they control the thickness of the oxide and therefore the color. The timeless finishes are lighter and more durable than paint or decals.
