Vlisco Recycled Carpets is the result of substantial material study Simone Post conducted on the leftover fabrics from Vlisco, a high-end wax-printed fabric producer based in the Netherlands and mostly exporting to Africa. The materials are cut into small strips, folded and coiled into strong carpets in a design based on the side view of the big rolls used to store and transport the textiles. Each and every time a product is made, it is unique due to the infinitely conceivable color combinations. The pattern protects the original printed surfaces and any potential faults while yet showcasing the gorgeous colors of Vlisco in fresh and unexpected ways in the finished carpets.
