Hors Studio’s project Semiophore is a continuation of research around the valorisation of shellfish farming waste. Hors studio made ornamental casts and standardized objects such as bricks in a ephemeral way with crushed oyster shells, mussels and scallops. The biomaterial formed with these different shells is mixed and bound with algae making them completely derived from the ocean. The objects dissolve in water and safe to go back to its natural habitat.
